HISTORY OF THE COMPANY
R & G OFFICE SYSTEM SDN BHD was registered in Malaysia on 10th of June, 1999. The proprietorship’s principal activity is to operate trading of furniture, fittings and office automation equipment. The proprietor is Mr. Robin Gan. His missions for this Company is to own a chain stores containing showrooms, trading outlets and warehousing branches trading in furniture, fittings and office automation equipment supplies. During his early years working as a salesman, he had managed to build a strong relationship with some furniture manufacturer such as Artak Design, Lim Furniture Decoration, Poh Huat Furniture Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd. and etc. These manufacturers are currently the Company’s main suppliers.
In August, 2002, Mr. Robin incorporated R & G OFFICE SYSTEM SDN BHD for his first business showroom outlet, located at Taman Teknologi Cheng, Malacca. This is the first step that Mr. Robin has set out to achieve his mission. The Company commenced its business operation in September, 2002 with a showroom outlet of 3,550 square feet and supported by 6 office staff. He has selected Malacca for opening his showroom outlet because Malacca is his hometown and he is more familiar with the market (after conducted a few market survey on the area). More importantly, he has the support from his family members who were based there.
In order to provide his customers with products at the most competitive price, Mr. Robin has build a strong relationship with his suppliers. Through the years, he has practiced making prompt payment to his suppliers and making high volume of orders, which in return longer credit period and trade discount were provided. His advertising strategy, competitive price and support from business alliance have seen the Companies recording remarkable turnover growth, from RM60,000 in year 1999 to RM480,000 in 2000, RM900,000 in 2001, RM1.5 million in year 2002 and RM1.8 million in year 2003. As of today, R & G group of companies is making average of RM160,000 sales a month.
Through business alliance, Mr. Robin was able to clinch project sales, providing furniture and office automation to new government offices and offices for

Other project client includes PETRONAS MALAYSIA, IOI COMMERCIAL UNIT, NESH MARKETING SDN , FABER MEDI-SERVE SDN BHD and etc.
At the initial stage of his business, the products the Company offered tends to cater for end users. As the business expanded, the customer range had increase to supplying to corporate client, government offices and other retail outlets.
Mr. Robin had since May, 2003 started his new warehousing outlet, which supplied to retail furniture outlets and his own group of Companies, R & G OFFICE SYSTEM SDN BHD and R & G DESIGN & RENOVATION SDN BHD in Malacca. The warehousing outlet has its own transportation delivery team of 4 drivers and assistant and 2 storekeeper.
Besides from achieving his mission, Mr. Robin also make sure of achieving the objective of providing the best service to his customer, to maintain customer satisfaction and at all time to seek and provide the most competitive product price.
